THE SUN 14th August 1972

A shock tonight for those who love the docile dolphin.
The creatures that have delighted a million children suddenly develop a nasty streak.
In the Mediterranean they begin to attack bathers.
That, at any rate, is the story of ronight's Doomwatch (BBC1, 9.20), the last of the series.
Dr Quist (John Paul) discovers somebody has trained dolphins as a military weapon.
As the dolphin is reputed to be highly intelligent, and is equipped with better radar than the Navy, perhaps it is not such a silly idea.

With thanks to Andrew Wilson and Michael Seely.
