JOHN SCOTT - COMPOSER OF THE 1972 DOOMWATCH FILM
Composer John Scott worked on both Antony and Cleopatra and the DOOMWATCH film at the same time having already accepted to work on Antony and Cleopatra. Peter Snell (who was producing Antony and Cleopatra) had already composed a score for the DOOMWATCH film but this was deemed unsatisfactory. The DOOMWATCH music was composed in just three weeks and Mr Scott remembers it as being a tremendous strain and he had very little sleep.
His other film scores includes Greystoke - Legend of Tarzan, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, King Kong Lives, The Final Countdown and Jekyll & Hyde. He also played the principal Saxophone in the James Bond film - Goldfinger and playing the flute on The Beatles recordings. John Scott has his own website at www.josrecords.com
