THE DAILY MIRROR 11th May 1970

Two top BBC-1 series reach their last episodes tonight – 'Doomwatch', a thriller set in the future, and 'Up Pompeii!', a comedy set in the past.

The last of the 'Doomwatch' series, (9.45) is a story called 'Survival code' written by the devisers of the programme, Kit Pedler and Gerry Davis.

The story is terrifyingly near present day possibilities. A long range bomber, carrying the latest type of nuclear weapon, crashes in the English Channel, WRITES WILLIAM KEENAN. What happens, then you can see tonight.
